About TEDx

About TEDx,

x = independently organized event

TEDx is more than an event; it's a movement, locally powered and self-organized. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, our TEDx gatherings fuse compelling TED Talk videos with live speakers, fostering deep discussions and connections. Each event is a TEDx, where 'x' represents an independently organized TED experience. Join us in this vibrant celebration of ideas where TEDx becomes a catalyst for inspiration, dialogue, and community growth.

About TED

TED, a nonprofit dedicated to Ideas Worth Spreading, originated as a four-day California conference 30 years ago and has since evolved into a global force for inspiration. Anchored by two annual conferences, TED invites the world's foremost thinkers and doers to share groundbreaking insights in subsequent 18-minute talks. These talks, featuring luminaries like Bill Gates, Jane Goodall, Elizabeth Gilbert, Sir Richard Branson, Nandan Nilekani, Philippe Starck, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Sal Khan and Daniel Kahneman are freely accessible on TED.com. The flagship TED Conference occurs annually in Vancouver, British Columbia.

TED's media initiatives are a dynamic blend of platforms shaping the global conversation. At the heart is TED.com, a vibrant space where fresh TED Talks are unveiled daily, offering a continuous wellspring of ideas. TED Translators enrich this experience, by providing subtitles, interactive transcripts, and global translations through the efforts of dedicated volunteers. In the realm of education, TED-Ed sparks curiosity and learning. The Audacious Project embodies TED's commitment to transformative change by collaboratively funding ideas of monumental impact. TEDx extends the movement locally, empowering individuals and groups to organize TED-style events worldwide. Meanwhile, the TED Fellows program propels global innovators to amplify the influence of their exceptional projects. Together, these initiatives form an intricate tapestry of inspiration, education, and collaboration.
